Call For Views on Non-Domestic Rates Bill

The Scottish Parliament’s Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee has opened a call for views on the Non-Domestic Rates (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Bill.

Non-domestic rates, also known as Business Rates, are a form of property tax that helps pay for local council services. This call for views may be of particular interest to culture sector venues or organisations with buildings.

This Bill follows the Valuation and Rating (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Order 2021. The Committee has opened a call for views to hear any issues they did not consider when it was looking at the Order.

The call for views has an online submission form. The deadline for submissions is 11 February 2022.
