Scottish Parliament: Culture Portfolio Questions December 2021

At the Scottish Parliament, questions are asked by MSPs to the Scottish Government during question sessions.

Portfolio Questions is one kind of question session in the Scottish Parliament. The questions MSPs ask must relate to the ministerial portfolio of the Portfolio Question session. For example, if an MSP has a question about Culture, they can ask this during Constitution, External Affairs and Culture Portfolio Question session. Questions are answered by the Minister or Cabinet Secretary with responsibility for that portfolio.

Creative Industries (Rural Areas)

Oliver Mundell (Dumfriesshire) (Con) To ask the Scottish Government what action it has taken to support the promotion of cultural assets connected to Robert Burns in Dumfries and Galloway.

Cultural Infrastructure

Tess White (North East Scotland) (Con) To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on the investment it is making in Scotland’s cultural infrastructure.

Live Performance Sector

Claire Baker (Mid Scotland and Fife) (Lab) To ask the Scottish Government how it is engaging with, and investing in, the live performance sector to support its recovery.
