Consultation on Energy Efficiency of Non-Domestic Buildings
It’s the Scottish Government’s aim to ensure that all non-domestic buildings are energy efficient and use zero-emissions heating and cooling systems by 2045.
The Scottish Government have opened a call for evidence of existing approaches to improve the energy efficiency of non-domestic buildings. They are seeking examples that can operate at the level of individual buildings, building groups or regions.
Improving energy efficiency may be a challenge for older cultural venues. The consultation could be an opportunity to highlight those challenges and the need for support, as well as some successes in the arts, heritage and creative industries.
This call for evidence is the first stage in developing a new regulatory framework for energy efficiency in non-domestic buildings. A public consultation will happen later in 2022.
The call for evidence is live on CitizenSpace and closes on 21 February 2022.
