We work to protect the eco-system of the arts, heritage and creative industries for the common good; through administration and policy change.
Culture Counts core members
The Culture Counts network is Scotland’s network for the arts, heritage and creative industries. As a network, we advocate for the development and protection of culture as fundamental to our common future.
Events
Throughout the year we host core member gatherings, occasional public events, and facilitate cross-party group meetings in the Scottish Parliament, creating space to connect, share expertise, and help shape the policy conversations that affect culture in Scotland.
Cross Party Group
Culture Counts established two Scottish Parliament Cross-party groups (CPG) for 2021-26. CPGs are groups of MSPs and non-MSPs who are interested in a subject or issue.
Following the recent Scottish Parliament election, we are working to re-form a cross party group for culture in the new Parliament.
