Inquiry Opened into COP26 and International Trade

The UK Parliament’s International Trade Committee (ITC) willconsider how international trade and investment features within the COP26 agenda, and how the Government’s trade and investment priorities align with those of COP26.

In November 2021, Glasgow will host the annual UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). The UK Government has “identified opportunities to use international trade and investment to further environmental goals”. For example, mitigating carbon emmisions and supporting a circular economy. The ITC has opened their enquiry to consider how international trade and investment can contribute to realising the goals of COP26.
