Our Letter on Self-Employed Workers to The Secretary of State for Scotland

 

On 23 March 2020, Culture Counts wrote to Alister Jack MP Secretary of State for Scotland. We warmly welcome the unprecedented support for employees that the UK Government announced on Friday (20th March); we are however concerned that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme excludes many workers, including the self-employed, gig economy workers and, potentially, those on zero-hour contracts.
