£100 Million Announced for Hospitality and Culture Sectors in Response to Omicron Variant
First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, announced yesterday (14/12/21) new financial support in response to the challenges posed to businesses by the Omicron variant.
Announced in the chamber of the Scottish Parliament, £100 million is to be made available as soon as possible to businesses in the hospitality and culture sectors.
EDIT: On Friday 17 December, the First Minister announced £20 million would be available to support culture sector businesses. At the time of writing this, details of how it will be distributed have still to be confirmed.
