Emergency Culture & Heritage Funding Announced

The Scottish Government have announced a £59 million funding package to protect jobs and support the cultural industries in dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. It comes as part of the £97 million in UK Government consequentials for the culture and heritage sectors.

The package includes;

  • £15 million Culture Organisations and Venues Recovery Fund

  • £21.3 million for Historic Environment Scotland (HES)

  • £5.9 million will be made available to support heritage organisations through committed grants
