Call for Views on European Charter of Local Self-Government

The Local Government and Communities Committee has opened a call for views on a new Bill about local government.

The European Charter of Local Self-Government (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill is a Member’s Bill introduced by Andy Wightman MSP on 5 May 2020. A Member’s Bill is introduced by an individual MSP, not the Scottish Government. The Bill would incorporate the European Charter of Local Self-Government into Scots law.
