#CPGculture Report - One Step Beyond: Radical Futures for Cultural Freelancers

 On Tuesday 11h December 2018, the Cross-Party Group on Culture discussed potential solutions to the issues faced by the freelance cultural workforce in Scotland. The CPG’s Convener is Joan McAlpine MSP and the deputy convener is Rachael Hamilton MSP. Clare Baker MSP and Tom Arthur MSP also attended the meeting. Secretariat for the group is provided by Culture Counts, a cultural sector policy/advocacy project based within the Federation of Scottish Theatre

At the meeting we heard evidence from:

·        Heritage freelancer Robin Patel

The report outlines some of the changes; which if implemented could radically change the landscape for freelancers in the sector
