Funding Application Resources

Part of: Resources

We’ve identified Scottish Government policy areas that are often included in funding applications. Our guides list what actions you can take, where to source information, and how to describe what you do.

Funding applications often include questions like;

  • What is your approach to equalities, diversity and inclusion?

  • How will you consider environmental sustainability in your plans?

  • What is your approach to fair work?

It can be hard to describe our work in these areas. Especially if you’re considering internal policy as well as external audience plans. All while trying to meet a deadline.

Fair work

The Scottish Government are looking to implement fair work practices across the Scottish economy. Fair work offers all individuals an effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect.

Read our recommendations for the implementation of fair work practices in the culture sector.

Equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI)

Culture organisations must ensure that some workers are not treated less favorably than others.

Read our recommendations on EDI in the cultre sector.

Environment

The Scottish Government is encouraging all businesses to draw up plans for reducing carbon emissions.
