Culture Counts welcomes Engagement and Communications Manager

Culture Counts – the national network of arts, heritage and creative industries in Scotland – is pleased to announce the appointment of the project’s new Engagement and Communications Manager. Evelyn Chong has recently joined the team, supporting Kathryn Welch, Director – Networks, Projects and Partnerships, and Joseph Peach, Director – Policy and Public Affairs.

Prior to joining Culture Counts, Evelyn worked for Stonewall UK as Global Partnerships Manager and Account Manager. In these roles, they worked with dozens of organisations across the UK and beyond to provide support, deliver workshops, and lead on global benchmarking exercises. They also hold a Masters of Public Policy degree from the University of Toronto where they studied a range of social and economic policy topics, and co-founded the Mental Health Policy Initiative.

This role is a vital part of Culture Counts’ small team and will strengthen communications with the Culture Counts network and wider stakeholders. This includes supporting a thriving cultural sector, promoting the public benefit of the arts, heritage and cultural industries; protecting the eco-system of these industries; and demystifying the operations of Government and Parliament.
