Two new cross-party groups for culture and creative industries
Culture Counts has been working to establish two new Cross-Party Groups (CPGs) at the Scottish Parliament for 2021-26.
CPGs are groups of MSPs and Non-MSPs who are interested in a subject or issue. In order to match up effectively with decision-makers we're proposing two CPGs;
CPG on Creative Economy
CPG on Culture & Communities

Creative Economy CPG
The purpose of the Creative Economy Group is to exchange ideas and learning about the development and support of the future creative economy. The group will consider support for creative economy in Scotland, exploring barriers to success and highlighting any potential solutions.
The group will focus on industrial support, entrepreneurship, economics, investment, private sector and international working.
Culture & Communities CPG
The purpose of the Culture & Communities Group is to encourage the exchange of knowledge and understanding between the Scottish Parliament and arts, culture, heritage and historic environment communities.
The group will focus on the impact of the public sector, for example, the social, health and educational impact of access and participation in the arts, heritage, libraries and museums.
