New Arts & Culture Toolkit for Scotland's Towns

Scotland’s Towns Partnership has just launched their updated Toolkit for Successful Town Centres. It takes over from the original Town Centre Toolkit published in 2015 and was developed with support from the Scottish Government.

This Toolkit is designed to be a source of inspiration for anyone who wants to make their town centre better. “Whether you’re from a local authority, community group, business, social enterprise or other organisation – you will find ideas here that you can put into action.”

The section dedicated to Arts & Culture explains "Cultural activities help people develop skills, develop the economy, create jobs and use spaces". It includes guides on starting a creative hub, opening a cinema, and engaging through art.
