National Partnership for Culture

In early 2020, following the publication of the Culture Strategy for Scotland; the Scottish Government announced the establishment of a National Partnership for Culture (NPC).

The NPC provides “advice and guidance to Scottish Ministers on key strategic issues affecting culture in Scotland”.

Culture Counts welcome the establishment of a National Partnership for Culture; there is no shortage of work to be done in advocating for the culture sector, and we’re pleased to see that the NPC is planning to tackle Culture & Health; Culture & Education; and Culture and Fair Work. Read the NPC work programme here.

Culture Counts will work closely with the National Partnership for Culture and where possible will support sector-wide consultation on NPC proposals and recommendations.

Culture Counts will aim to keep members and subscribers as up to date as possible on the work of the NPC; through our regular communications.
