Local Place Plan Regulations Consultation

Local Place Plans (LPPs) set out a community’s aspirations for its future development. The Scottish Government has opened a consultation on the preparation, content, submission and registration of Local Place Plans. This consultation relates to the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 which introduces LLPs into the Scottish planning system.

The right for communities to prepare their own LPPs is a new addition to Scotland's planning system. This is part of the Government's wider work on planning reform including steps to improve community engagement in planning matters.

For more information visit the consultation webpage on Citizen Space here. The consultation closes on Friday 25 June 2021.
