Dear Jennifer,
WORKING IN SPAIN
Thank you for your letter of 11 November 2021 regarding working visa travel between the UK and Spain for the culture and arts sector.
As you will of course now be aware, following close work between the UK and Spanish Government, Spain has announced it will no longer require short-term visas for audiovisual performers, including musicians on tour. This now means we have agreements with 21 Member States that offer visa and work permit free routes for UK touring performers.
We continue to support our world-leading creative sectors and are actively working with the remaining Member States to encourage them to allow creative professionals to tour.
If helpful, I am of course happy to meet you to discuss culture in Scotland more generally. If so, please contact my office at pusos@ukgovscotland.gov.uk who will be happy to set up a meeting.
Yours Sincerely
IAIN STEWART MP
