A Culture Strategy for Scotland

The Scottish Government has today published ‘A Culture Strategy for Scotland.’ The document follows public consultation which began in 2017, and sets the future direction for supporting culture in Scotland.

The strategy has been informed by our national culture conversation, and by the many gatherings that took place across the country. It considers how we can ensure that culture continues to provide enjoyment and enrichment for future generations.

Nicola Sturgeon MSP, First Minister of Scotland

Aims & Ambitions

A Culture Strategy For Scotland sets out 3 Ambitions; strengthening culture, transforming through culture & empowering through culture. Each Ambition has associated aims, including the establishment of a National Partnership for Culture to work with individuals and organisations across culture and other sectors to continue the national culture conversation.
