  • The Scottish Government seeks the views of all those with an interest in children’s rights on the proposed content of the 'Progressing Children’s Rights in Scotland' Action Plan.

  • The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) underpins Scottish Minsters’ ambitions to make "Scotland the best place to grow up, be educated and to bring up children".

  • The Action Plan, which will set actions for taking forward the rights of the child from 2018 until 2021 in Scotland, will also be organised around the ‘cluster groupings’ used in reporting to the UN Committee.

These strategic actions will aim to further promote and embed children’s rights across Scottish Government portfolios and beyond.
