Industrial Strategy: Intellectual Property Call for Views

As the government sets out its plans for an ambitious new industrial strategy, the IPO is seeking views to form part of our contribution to the next phase of the strategy. We are looking for your views on a range of specific ways we can get innovators to work together more effectively and get the most out of their IP.

The consultation will run for five weeks, closing on 15 November 2017.

Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Relations Committee

Scotland's Screen Sector.

The Committee has agreed to conduct an inquiry into how the Screen Sector Leadership Group’s report recommendations on strengthening and developing the Scottish screen sector can be implemented. The report set out a series of actions that could be achieved in the next five years if there was strong leadership, a comprehensive strategy and appropriate investment and support for the sector.

The Committee issued a call for evidence on 22 September 2017. The closing date for submissions is 3 November 2017.

Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee

European Union (Withdrawal) Bill.

The Committee has issued a call for evidence in relation to the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill. The Committee will consider the delegated powers in the Bill that are to be conferred on Scottish Ministers. The Committee’s call for evidence sets out the areas that the Committee is particularly interested in receiving evidence. The Committee is keen to hear views on all aspects of the Bill that are within its remit. 


An inquiry to explore how the UK’s immigration policy can best respond to Scotland’s demographic and skills needs.

The objective of the inquiry is to seek evidence from organisations and individuals in Scotland on how immigration policy can be developed to reflect and respond to Scotland’s demographic and skills needs.
