Museums Galleries Scotland developed ‘Going Further' (March 2012) in consultation with the museums sector. The compelling and inclusive strategy has Scotland’s 400 museums and galleries united behind one shared vision:

Scotland’s museums and galleries will be ambitious, dynamic and sustainable enterprises: connecting people, places and collections inspiring, delighting and creating public value.

In 2015, Museums Galleries Scotland reviewed progress and set out a delivery plan, Realising the Vision: Delivering Public Value through Scotland’s Museums and Galleries 2015–2019.

This new consultation with the Scottish museum sector will inform the development of the next National Strategy delivery plan. Read more on Museum Galleries Scotland’s blog.
