Total exports from the Creative Industries was £2.9 billion in 2016. That’s 3.9% of Scotland’s total exports.
Turnover in the Creative Industries stood at £7.1 billion in 2015, up from £6.5 billion in 2014.
The Scottish five-year survival rate for Creative Industries businesses born (registering) in 2011 and still active in 2016 was 52.6%, compared to 50.4% for the UK as a whole.
The UK economy will need one million new creative jobs by 2030.
