The Cross Party Group on Culture

Culture Counts is secretariat of The Cross-Party Group on Culture. Cross-Party Groups (CPGs) provide an opportunity for MSPs of all parties, outside organisations and members of the public to meet and discuss a shared interest in a particular cause or subject. The Cross Party Group on Culture meets twice a year. The purpose of the group is to;

  • discuss cultural matters and ideas

  • put on engaging performances and guest speakers

  • an opportunity for stimulating discussion about ideas as well as processes/art forms

  • a platform for further and wider learning (making use of social media and podcasting)

  • a showcase for the arts in Parliament

To inquire about joining the Group, please email Non-MSP Members can join as Organisations or Individuals. Members have voting rights like MSPs. See a list of our current members on the Scottish Parliament webpage. We also welcome Invited Guests.
